Brands need to balance the right amount of ambition, aspiration and truth.
Truth is important. Brands need to be believable.
With this in mind, why is Emirates running an ad suggesting that a typical scene in its on-board bar is like a cross between a Davos summit, a TED conference and a Reddit meet-up in Williamsburg?
Sorry, I don’t buy it.
And, besides – yawn – it’s an old idea. Virgin had bars on it’s planes from LHR to JFK years ago.
Emirates, you can do better.
